Hola, cachers! At long last - the day has finally arrived: If you
happen to be in or near Playa del Carmen, Mexico - stop by the El
Faro lighthouse on the beach for a visit around 10AM. I'll be
taking some time out of the big day to host my friends, family, and
all local and vacationing cachers.
Daphne and I were
engaged nearly two years ago now - and just less than a year
ago, we visited Playa del Carmen to meet with planners, check out
venues, and plan our destination wedding.
That day has finally arrived - and, until I can find a local cacher
(hint, hint) to maintain a traditional cache here - this event will
have to do. Not surprisingly, there are at least a handful of
cachers in our wedding party and guests - and I'm sure we can drum
up some newbies to partake in the event.
If you're a local cacher, or a vacationer / cruiser - please join
us on this special day. We'll meet on the beach, between the El
Faro lighthouse and the palapas life guard shack at 10AM. We'll
raffle off a couple coins and Got Wake? signature items, discuss
and demonstrate the new GPSr models from Garmin that make paperless
caching such a joy, and any other topics people want to
discuss.
We'll talk caching (have you found all the local, and Cozumel
caches?), weddings, SCUBA,
paperless
caching, cenotes, GSAK...
and generally just enjoy the sun and sand on this joyous day. For
those who haven't already found the nearby caches, we can travel as
a group to get the couple that are close immediately following the
event.
