Geocache Description:

We were surprised not to have found any caches in Hunt Woods. This is a nice short walk to the cache from the parking area. Trails are well maintained. You are looking for an altoids container. I have placed a first to find lottery prize. Please let us know in your log if you won.

Hunt Woods is a 58 acre plot that is a natural woodland and home to many species of songbirds and other wildlife. The woods feature a self-guided trail describing woodland management techniques. The land was purchased from the heirs of the W.E. Hunt estate. In 1984, a Timber Management Plan was developed. Hunt Woods serves as a conservation education and demonstration area for timber and woodland management. The "Hunt-Murray Timber Management Trail" showcases a variety of management techniques.
