We placed this micro in the ruins of a building next to the old
lighthouse at Phare Blevec. It is an easy walk to the lighthouse
but to get there you have to make the crossing from Ile Saint Marie
to Ile aux Nattes.
You could probably swim but we recommend that you get one of the
local people to row you across to the island.
You can cross from S17 05.774 E49 48.662. You’ll find many
people willing to row you the 300m across the channel. They charge
about 2000 Ariary (± $1US) per person.
You’ll land on the opposite side where you’ll find a
number of restaurants and lodges. Follow the path next to the beach
that leads to the left. It will gradually turn inland. Keep going
until you get to a fork in the path at S17 06.536 E49 48.546. Take
the path to your left, towards Hotel le Paradisa, and carry on
until you get to the lighthouse. There is a small little shop at
the lighthouse where you’ll be able to buy drinks and
food.
