Jan Paderewski:
Ignacy Jan Paderewski urodzil sie 6 listopada 1860 r. Juz w dziecinstwie przejawial uzdolnienia muzyczne grajac na fortepianie. W 1878 r. ukonczyl Instytut Muzyczny w Warszawie. Ozenil sie w 1980 r. jednak rok pózniej jego zona zmarla. Po tym Paderewski zaczal podrózowac po Europie aby doskonalic swój warsztat muzyczny. Przez pewien czas przebywal w USA, gdzie zdobyl ogromna popularnosc jako pianista - ma nawet swoja gwiazde w Alei Gwiazd w Hollywood. W 1899 powtórnie sie ozenil i osiadl w Szwajcarii. Jego zona Helena (z domu Rosen) byla jedna z inicjatorów powolania Polskiego Czerwonego Krzyza a od 1919 r. pelnila funkcje prezesa tej organizacji.
Paderewski byl tez aktywnym dzialaczem niepodleglosciowym i politycznym. 16 stycznia 1919 zostal premierem Polski. Po wybuchu II wojny swiatowej wszedl w sklad wladz polskich na uchodzstwie.
Zmarl 29 czerwca 1941 r. w Nowym Jorku a jego prochy sprowadzono do Polski 29 wrzesnia 1992 r. Zostal odznaczony posmiertnie orderem Virtuti Militari.
Dworek:
Dwór w Kasnej Dolnej zostal wybudowany w 1833 przez ówczesnego wlasciciela wsi Pawla Gostkowskiego. W 1897 zostal zakupiony przez Paderewskiego i odrestaurowany. Zostaly do niego doprowadzone wodociagi i wybudowana kanalizacja. Postawiono nawet turbine elektryczna, dzieki czemu doprowadzono oswietlenie do dworu i zabudowan gospodarskich, zainstalowano takze telefon. Otaczajacy dworek 16-hektarowy park zostal urzadzony w stylu angielskim.
Ostatecznie jednak Paderewski nie zdecydowal sie na zamieszkanie w Kasnej. W 1903 dwór zostal sprzedany i kilkakrotnie zmieniajac wlasciciela ostatecznie zostal upanstwowiony w 1945 r. W 1983 dwór przejelo Tarnowskie Towarzystwo Muzyczne i zaczeto wówczas organizowac tam koncerty muzyki powaznej. Od 1990 funkcjonuje tam Centrum Paderewskiego, które organizuje koncerty i wystawy. Obecnie dworek i park sa bardzo ladnie utrzymane i warte odwiedzenia.

Jan Paderewski:
Ignacy Jan Paderewski was born on 6th of November 1860. Since his childhood he had demonstrated his outstanding musical talent for playing the piano. In 1878 he graduated from the Musical Institute in Warsaw. He got married in 1980 but after just one year, his wife died. After that he started travelling around Europe to improve his musical ability. He stayed in USA for some time, where became a very popular pianist - and has a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 1899 he got married again and settled in Switzerland. His wife, Baroness Helena de Rosen, was one of the originators of the Polish Red Cross and the Chair of the organisation in 1919.
Apart from being a musical genius, Paderewski was also an independent and political activist. On 16th January 1919 he became the Prime Minister of Poland. When WWII started, he joined the Polish Government on Emigration.
He died 29th June 1941 in New York and his remains were moved to Poland 29th September 1992. He was decorated posthumously with Poland's highest military decoration, the Virtuti Militari.
The manor:
The manor in Kasna Dolna was built in 1833 by the owner of this village, Pawel Gostowski. In 1897 it was bought by Paderewski. He renovated the manor and upgraded it with waterworks and sewerage. An electric power turbine was built as well and, a thanks to that, lighting was installed in the manor and all the farmstead. A phone was installed as well. The park surrounding the manor was designed in the English style.
Ultimately, Paderewski decide not to stay in Kasna. In 1903 the manor was sold and changed owners several times; finally it was nationalized in 1945. In 1983 the manor was taken over by the Music Company of Tarnów, who started organizing concerts of classical music in the premises. In 1990 the Centre of Paderewski was established there to organize concerts and exhibitions. Presently, the manor and the garden are very well kept and really worth visiting.
