Noerdlich von Frankfurt auf der Kassel – Frankfurt Seite der A5 liegt der Rastplatz Spiesswald welcher hier den westlichen Teil der schoenen Wetterau abgrenzt. Hier liegt der Micro in seinem Versteck und wartet auf Euch.
North of Frankfurt at the A5 Kassel – Frankfurt southbound is located the rest area called Spiesswald. The western part of the Wetterau terminates here. This is were the Micro has been hidden and is waiting for you.
Wenn Ihr auf dem Rastplatz steht entweder durch oder über den Zaun in Richtung Westen schaut , liegt direkt die sanfte Hügelkette des hessischen Mittelgebirges Taunus vor Euch. Mit dem Feldberg welcher um die 880 Meter hoch ist , ist der Taunus das zweitgrösste Mittelgebirge Hessens . Der Taunus war zu römischer Zeit die Grenze zwischen dem römischen Reich und Germanien nur getrennt duch den Limes. Es gibt noch zahlreiche römische Wachtürme und Kastelle ganz in der Nähe des Rastplatzes. Das bekannteste Kastell , weil um 1900 komplett restauriert ist die Saalburg. Vor dem Taunus seht Ihr die Stadt Friedrichsdorf welche auf eine Hugenottengründung zurückgeht.
Friedrichsdorf , auch Stadt des Zwiebacks geannt ist mehr bekannt unter dem Namen Milupa , welche hier bis Ende des 20.Jahrhunderts Babynahrung herstellte.
Zwischen Friedrichdorf und der Autobahn befindet sich ein Waldstück nach welchem der Rastplatz benannt ist. Das ist der Spiesswald. Zu sehen etwa halbrechts vom Rastplatz aus.
Der Cache ist ein klassischer drive in und schnell mitzunhemender Cache.
Nur auf Muggles solltet Ihr achten. Aber mit ein wenig stealth kein Problem , da der Cache sich etwas ausserhalb der üblichen mugglewege befindet. Um den Cache zu heben braucht Ihr weder gefährlich nahe an die Autobahn noch sonst irgendwie auf Fahrwege des Rastplatzes zu gehen. Auch braucht Ihr nicht den Rastplatz zu verlassen , dennoch ist der Cache sowohl vom Rastplatz aus alsauch von der Feldseite her zugänglich und zu bergen. Bitte den Cache wieder exakt an seinen Orginal Versteckplatz zurücklegen. Danke.
If you are on the rest area and are looking westbound , either through or over the fence you will see the soft rolling mountain area called Taunus. In South England you will find a counterpart area called the Downs. With 880 Meters the Feldberg is the highest peak of the Taunus which represents the 2nd highest mountian area of the state of Hessen.
The Taunus was the northen border of the Roman Empire. The name of the borderline is called Limes and was the offical border between the Roman Empire and Germania.
There are still a lot of wachtowers and kastells of the Limes present in the closer area of this rest area. The most famous one is called the Saalburg and has been fully reconstructed in 1900. Between the rest area and the Mountain you will detect a city called Friedrichsdorf. It is a foundation of the french Hugenotten.
Between the City and the rest area , a little bit on the right side , you will see a small forest named Spiesswald. It’s a small wood which has given the name to the rest area.
The cache is a classic drive in cache and can be detected relatively easy.
Be aware about muggles. But with a little bit stealth you will have no problems to get the cache save and sound , because the cache is a little bit outside the common muggle pathes. To get the cache there is no need to get close to the driving lanes of the reast area of the Autobahn itself. The cache is within the area of the rest area but can also be cached from outside the fence.
