Geocache Description:

An ammo can near a nice pile of rocks that would have a nice little waterfall in wet weather.

This cache is in Lake Somerville State Park (Birch Creek side) and you will need to observe Park hours and pay the entrance fee unless you have a Texas State Parks Pass.

Just off the Equestrian trail about 6/10 mile from trailhead at Birch Creek. Turn left on little oil well road, then right on Loop hiking trail (or you can take Loop Trail starting across from the restrooms near site 95). The rest will have to be up to your GPS and GeoSense. You will want to bring your own water since there is none available on the trail. Down the trail from the TxGCC cache.

Did you see any wildlife or interesting plants on the trails? Please take a picture of the area if water is flowing.

Thanks to Park Ranger John for showing me this rather unique site. We did get a permit with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. Geocaching.com trackables and GeoKrets are welcome in this cache.

If you find a Trackable, be sure to log it online!

Congrats to kianlo (and Mrs. Kianlo and MomKianlo) for the FTF!
