This is #6 of ten Howell Campground GeoCaching Primer (HCGCP) caches placed for Lake Red Rock's Big Geocaching Event, September 18, 2010.
One of my first cache finds was in a giant hollow tree--I still love those! So this is my Howell Keebler cache (you know, the where the elves make the cookies...)
Regrettable update: Keebler tree bit the sawdust :( so I had to choose a less suitable spot nearby. It's at the base of a tree anyway; look for a gallon jug for now.
I'm bumping the terrain up a little; it's still level ground, but since you have to go a little further on grass now, it may not be quite as wheelchair accessible as before.
Since there are so many people around a campground, most of the Howell cache containers are small to hide them well. But this one is a perfect spot for a larger container, so there's more room for trading swag items. Our rule is to trade even or up, so if you take something, then leave something of equal or greater general value. No sticks or stones or blades of grass (some people have actually done that :(
