Geocache Description:

This is the second cache in a series that will educate cachers about some of the businesses and locales in the Rockford Area that have been lost to time.

This should be a PNG but bring your own scribbler, and please return cache to its hiding spot! Also remember: much of the area surrounding hide is an Industrial Park... Stealth required!

Southwest of this location are the land parcels that were once the River Lane Outdoor Theatre. The theatre opened in 1948, operated until 1984, and was demolished in 1987.

If the screen tower was still in place, you could stand here and watch a movie if one was shown. The screen tower paralleled River Lane in the distance and the screen faced North.
