National Puzzle Day -- A Puzzle Event! Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

FSU*Noles: Time to finally shut this one down, I know we're missing a few attended logs but hopefully they check in after the fact. I still have some packets left, if anyone would like one drop me a line - postage is $1.56, as my local mail carrier is well aware after hauling out about 50 of them this week. :-) Thanks again everyone, it was a blast!

Geocache Description:

THANKS, EVERYONE!!

Wow, another unbelievable Puzzle Event! The final count is 317 attendees signed on the logsheets, I'm completely floored by the turnout today. I had a blast, and am thrilled that so many cachers said they did too!

Huge thanks again to all of the puzzle creators and donators, you are the true stars of today's event. Without you, there's no reason to do this!

Special thanks to everyone who organized, stressed out, donated cash and door prizes, and otherwise contributed to today's success. We had too many to name individually, including those that pitched in today to quick staple packets and get everything organized before the doors opened, but I especially want to thank choromanskilynn, Maryufaust, mnfishnutz, Quilting is fun too, Tonkajen, Troutonthebrain, wdtj and the staff at River City Extreme for all of their superhuman, above-and-beyond efforts today. Truly, we could not have done it without you!

It only took 2.5 years to convince me to host this Event, we'll see if King Boreas can talk me into it again! ;-) The original Event details are unchanged below, for historical purposes. Thanks again everyone, hope to see y'all again soon!!

Who's ready to celebrate National Puzzle Day 2011 in style? Two-and-a-half years after the original Puzzle Event, it's high-time to have another one! Who's in?

Everyone is invited to an afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship in Monticello. This Event will be held at:

River City Extreme
3875 School Blvd
Monticello, MN 55362

Saturday, January 29th
11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

* Door Prize drawings at 1:00 *

Hors d'oeuvres platters will be served, but outside food is not allowed onsite. Full meals can be ordered in advance, but no purchase is required for attendance. Special thanks to Beth for allowing us to gather at her location!

Like the first event, the goal here is to generate interest in puzzle caches and provide help to those who don't know how to get started on them. Since many puzzles use similar tricks, once you learn how to solve a few you'll be able to solve a whole bunch more! A number of generous cache owners have donated solutions to some of their puzzles. All attendees will receive a packet that contains puzzle solutions and coordinates for the following list of caches:

Twin Cities & Central Minnesota Puzzles:
Northern Minnesota Puzzles:
Southern Minnesota Puzzles:
Iowa Puzzles:
Extra-Strong Hints or Walk-Throughs (no final coords provided):
Each packet will have strong hints or giveaways for each puzzle, for those who want to work the puzzles out on their own. A sealed envelope containing the final solved coordinates will also be provided, to be used (or not) at each cacher's discretion. Huge thanks again to the cache owners for their donations, I appreciate it!
