Geocache Description:

!!THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES!!

The coordinates are for the seasonal parking area. The roadway in is not plowed in winter, which is the best time of year to seek this cache.

The actual coordinates are in the cache hidden in the southwest area of Gallagher Marsh, (GC2KZ3E). You will need to find that cache to obtain the coordinates for this one. The numbers are on the log sheet.

You may need snow shoes or waders, depending on the season. There should be plenty of skeeters to go with you during a summer attempt!

The City of Brandon's storm sewers drain into the west side of the marsh. The water levels are naturally controlled, based on the amount of rain in the surrounding area AND the runoff from Brandon! So you may find alot of water in a semi-dry year.

As with the original Wet Maze in the Eldorado Marsh, inform a friend or family member if attempting this .25 mile cache alone. Placement was made in winter, on frozen water. You will find a former high ground beacon at GZ.

This area is a public hunting grounds so where blaze orange during the gun deer season.

A Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to the DNR Headquarters in Oshkosh, as well as permission from Victor Rens. Geocaches placed on DNR managed land must obtain permission from the DNR land manager.

This cache marks our 300th hide. We hope you enjoy the challenge!

Congrats to jstajlr on FTF!
