A great cache with a beautiful view when arriving by car from up
North or leaving Dubrovnik by car heading North again, or just to
take in the spectacular views of the area or marvel at the cable
hung bridge. This gives you a view of the Bridge from higher up,
Gruz harbour and the Elaphiti Island.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ORDER TO FIND THE FINAL WAYPOINT, YOU NEED TO
LOOK INTO THE STEREOGRAM PICTURE. THE OTHER WAYPOINTS ARE THE
PARKING AND THE POINT TO START TO WALK TO THE FINAL WAYPOINT.
Bedbug Cherry Hitch is situated at the church called Sv. Spas. It
is best to park at the bridge view point and from there go
geocaching. The box is roughly 20cm x 11 cm x 4cm with a blue lid.
When at the cache you will have a fantastic view of the Elaphiti
islands... Elaphiti Islands or the Elaphites • Small
archipelago consisting of several islands stretching northwest of
Dubrovnik. • The Elaphites have a total land area of around 30
square kilometres and a population of 850 inhabitants. • The
islands are covered with characteristic Mediterranean evergreen
vegetation and attract large numbers of tourists during the summer
tourist season due to their beaches and pristine scenery. •
The name comes from the Ancient Greek word for deer which used to
inhabit the islands in large numbers. Roman author Pliny the Elder
was the first to mention the islands by the name Elaphiti Islands.
