Geocache Description:

Take a break on Highway 395 at a small interpretive site.

There are two signs here describing the history of the Oregon and Northwestern Railroad. The line was active from the late 1920's until it was abandoned in 1984. You can see the railroad bed in many places as you travel along the highway.

You're looking for a camoed snapware container. Be sure to hide it well so it doesn't walk away.

The cache is at an elevation over 5000' so may be tricky in the winter. Spring and summer the mosquitoes will likely enjoy the free meal you will provide. Ticks will surely be out too. Also watch out for the rare but speedy traffic. There is a good sized pullout that is trucker friendly.
