Nazwa Przehyba (Prehyba, Przechyba) pochodzi z czasów, gdy mieszkajacy w historycznie lemkowskiej dolinie Ruskiego Potoku (Grajcarka) Rusini Szlachtowscy wypasali tu swoje stada i odnosi sie do rozleglej hali w srodkowej czesci glównego grzbietu Pasma Radziejowej. Hala otoczona jest szczytami: Wierchu Przehyby (1193 m), Zlomistego Wierchu (1226 m). Wymienic nalezy równiez zachodni garb polany zwany Mala Przehyba (1155 m) z przekaznikiem RTV wybudowanym w 1972 roku. Lekkie nachylenie hali ku poludniu, na wysokosci 1175 m n.p.m., zajmuje znakomicie wpasowane w otaczajacy krajobraz Schronisko Górskie PTTK imienia znanego krajoznawcy Kazimierza Sosnowskiego.

Polecam widok z tarasu schroniska na Tatry i Pieniny, który jest jednym z najpiekniejszych w Beskidach. Kesz ukryty jest jednak blizej rzadko odwiedzanego punktu widokowego z równie imponujaca rozlegla panorama doliny Dunajca.
The name Przehyba (or Prehyba, or Przechyba) originates in times when Szlachowskis Rusyns living in historically Lemko valley called the Rusyns Stream Valley (Grajcarka) used to graze their herds and it refers to a vast mountain pasture in the middle part of the main ridge of Radziejowa Range. The pasture is surrounded by the two hills: Wierch Przehyby (1193 m), Zlomisty Wierch (1226 m). The west prominence on a glade called Mala Przehyba (1155 m) with radio and TV transmitter built in 1972 should also be mentioned. A gentle south slope on the pasture, at 1175 m, is occupied by the mountain hostel named after a famous Polish tourism expert Kazimierz Sosnowski that is perfectly fitted into the surrounding scenery.

I recommend the view of Tatras and Pieniny Mountains from the hostel terrace. This is one of the most beautiful vies in Beskids. However, the cache is hidden close to the rarely visited view point with the equally impressive wide panorama of the Dunajec River valley.
