This cache is the first "hide" for the Divide Girl Scout troop. It is located at Babcock State Park near the infamous Glade Creek Grist Mill. Have your camera ready...this is a beautiful area and you will most likely see some wildlife!
Drive to the Glade Creek Grist Mill and park in the parking lot. Look around and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the picturesque Glade Creek Grist Mill. Walk across the bridge to the “Island in the Sky” trail. As you begin your short trek up the trail, the grist mill is off to your right. You do not need to venture off the trail to find this cache. It is less than 500 feet from the beginning of the trail to the cache; however once you find the cache it will be well worth it for you to continue on to the end of the “Island in the Sky” trail.
Please note: Babcock State Park is a seasonal park and most of the gates are locked from October 31 through mid-April. However, foot travel is welcomed year round, but will be a bit of a hike from the gate to the grist mill. Also, if you chose to attempt this cache in the winter months, please be aware that this area has deep snowfalls!
