The Watermans - A Cache In A Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

The Lunch Club: After receiving the comments from Ropingthewind we hurried out to see if it was indeed gone - Unfortuantely it has been stolen for the second time. Apparently there are rock hunters who sell the rocks on the Internet. Ropingthewind did find it as I followed their steps right to its resting place - sorry guys! This is a great place if you like old mines as there are several around. The difficulty to get to this cache varies on which way you come in and what type of vehicle you use. Once on top it is a site to remember and the cache was fairly simple to find. We will have a new cache placed shortly off a bit from the mine area. We did check our other caches in the area Lost Point and The Rock at Ragged Top and found everything to be in order.

Geocache Description:

A great view awaits you from the top of the Waterman Mts.

Be the first to find this cache and you have found a second cache fully loaded and ready to hide!

Our first hidden cache is located at one of our favorite spots inside Ironwood Forest just outside of Tucson. If you are lucky enough to get there first we have put a second, fully stocked cache, right beside our cache. Our cache has a geocache sticker displayed on the outside. We also have included a travel bug on a Honda key chain. We do have a camera in the cache - take a snap shot of your conquest and leave your e-mail address if you would like a copy. If you decide to take the second cache we only ask that it be hidden inside the Ironwood Forest. There are thousands of acres of great riding and sites in the area. There are many different ways to get to Ironwood Forest. We always enter it from Avara Valley. If you take Sandario as if you are going the Desert Muesem you will come across a street named Manville which deadens into Sandario at one end and turns into a dirt road that dead ends at Ironwood Forest at the other. Please be aware there are cattle gates and open mines through out the area. There are many more ways to get the cache once inside Ironwood. Some easier then others. Most of the trails, river washes etc. all hook together for the most part. Once you find your way to the foot of the Waterman Mountain (N32 20.217 W111 27.909) you will definitely need a 4 wheel drive, ATV, or hike the rest of the way. Enjoy Ironwood Forest and please remember to close cattle gates and BEWARE of open mines.

Look for a next cache coming soon - Lost Point.
