This is a 4 stage multi-cache. Each stage will take you to a different Lutheran church in the Fond du Lac area. At each church you will need to find the numbers on the cornerstone of the church to reach the next stage.
Please use common sense in seeking these stages. Sunday morning will have a lot of worshipers going in and out of the buildings, and so would not be the best time to do this cache. Also, each church has a day care or school on the property. You will not need to go into any of the buildings, and you will probably be able to read the numbers from a distance if necessary.
The starting coordinates will take you to the cornerstone on Faith Lutheran Church. Find the year on the cornerstone and use the formula below to go to the next stage.
Cornerstone year minus 1660=ABC
Cornerstone year minus 1109=DEF
Go to N43 45.ABC, W88 25.DEF
These coordinates will take you to another church's cornerstone. Again, find the year on the cornerstone and use the formula below to go to the next stage.
Cornerstone year divided by 3, then subtract 56=GHI
Cornerstone year divided by 12, then add 3=JKL
Go to N43 46.GHI, W88 28.JKL
Your new coordinates will take you to the next church. Use the year on the cornerstone and the formula below to go to the final church.
Last 2 digits of the cornerstone year minus 2=MN
Last 2 digits of the cornerstone year plus 4=PQ
Go to N43 44.0MN, W88 27.0PQ
The last church has several numbers on the cornerstone. Look at them carefully and enter the correct numbers in the formula to find the final container.
Last 3 digits of the big year on the top of the cornerstone plus 100=RST
Last 3 digits of the EST year plus 106, then divide by 4=UVW
Go to N43 44.RST, W88 27.UVW
You should now have the coordinates to the final container. No need to move your car. If your math is correct, you should be able to walk there. Permission to place the final cache container was given by Andy Mildebrandt, principal of the school where the cache container is located. Please use common sense when seeking the final container, since it is on school grounds.
