Zdjęcie historyczne: Koszary WST po ustaniu walk. Marynarze z kurtuazyjnego pancernika, na placu apelowym. Tak wyglądały koszary przed pracami porządkowymi prowadzonymi przez utworzony tu Arbeitslager a potem przez "sapiorów". Pozostałości koszar to lewa część budynku na zdjęciu.

Westerplatte (d. West Platte, Westter - zachodni, Platte - płyta, wyspa) to miejsce bardzo ważne historycznie, tutaj wg. niektórych źródeł zaczęła się II wojna światowa.
Ruiny "Nowych Koszar", Wojskowej Składnicy Tranzytowej które oddano do użytku w 1936 r. Ich obecny wygląd wbrew pozorom nie jest wynikiem walk na Westerplatte we wrześniu 1939 roku czy tez w marcu i kwietniu 1945 a celową destrukcją dokonaną na polecenia "czynników partyjnych" prawdopodobnie gen. SKRZYNKA: mała, pod kordynatami, miejsce ukrycia całkiem łatwe do domyślenia się. Zawiera ołówek. UWAGA! Skrzynka to plastikowa, zielona manierka (butelka) z białymi napisami Geocache/Geocache by Stormymane.
Proszę o nie wkładanie do środka przedmiotów mogących zablokować ujście butelki, papierków, za dużych przedmiotów, śmieci, które mogą uniemożliwić korzystanie z geocache. Wspólnie dbajmy o kesze aby służyły nam jak najdłużej :)
