(649 acres)
An abundance of gorgeous trees make Red Haw State Park a beautiful place to be at any time of year. Hawthorns, oaks, maples and pines each bring their own colors from the pink of redbuds in spring to the reds and golds of fall. Kayak or boat on the sparkling clear lake to enjoy the beauty from a different viewpoint.
For an upclose look, wander down a hiking trail that winds around the lake. As one of Iowa’s premier lakes for panfish, Red Haw draws anglers to try their luck.
In winter, visitors brave the cold to laugh with friends and family as they ice skate, ice fish, sled, cross-country ski and snowmobile.
