Pomnik kondotiera Bartolomeo Colleoniego jest kopią weneckiego pomnika konnego, która została stworzona w Neapolu dla szczecińskiego Muzeum Narodowego. Od 1913r. pomnik stanowił główną atrakcję zbioru kopii słynnych dzieł antyku i renesansu.
Dzieło przetrwało czasy II wojny światowej, a w 1948r. zostało wywiezione do Warszawy, która po zniszczeniach wojennych pozyskiwała nowe dzieła sztuki. Aż 54 lata trwały starania zarówno miasta, jak i osób prywatnych, by zabytek wrócił ze stolicy do Szczecina. Udało się i w sierpniu 2002r. pomnik stanął na Placu Lotników, a w 2009r. Colleoni odzyskał trzymany w dłoni oręż, taki sam, jaki ma oryginał.

The statue of the soldier of fortune Bartolomeo Colleoni is a copy of a Venetian horse monument, which was built in Naples for the Szczecin National Museum. Since 1913 the statue was the main attraction of the famous copies of Antique and Renaissance periods collection
The statue survived the times of the 2nd World War and in 1948 it was brought to Warsaw, which was gathering new pieces of art then. It took the city of Szczecin and its inhabitants 54 years of trying to bring it back to Szczecin from the capital. The quest became successful in 2002 and the statue was placed on Lotników Square, and in 2009 Colleoni was given the arms, which he now holds in his hands, just as the original does.

Das Denkmal von Bartolomeo Colleoni wurde in Neapel für das National Museum von Stettin geschaffen. Es ist eine Reproduktion von den venecianischen Reiterstatue. Von 1913 das Denkmal war eine Hauptatraktion der Sammlung der Kopie von bekanntestes Kunstwerke von der Renaissance und Antik.
Das Kunstwerk dauert der Zweite Weltkrieg über. Im Jahr 1948 wurde das Denkmal nach Warschau augeführt. Die Bemühungen, umdas Denkmal nach Stettin züruckzukommen, dauerte 54 Jahre. Im Jahr 2002 endlich stand das Denkmal auf stettiner Platz.
