One day a Smallmouth Bass was talking to a Rock Bass and asked why he was so down, I am tired of being food for the Walleye and Northern Pike he said. I wish I was a big fish like a Lake Trout. A Largemouth Bass hearing the conversation joined in and said he preferred to eat Yellow Perch but even I have been chased down by a Muskellunge. I wish I was a Coho and I would be safe in the deep water. Just then a Pumpkinseed swam by and the little guy ate him.
Moral: no matter how small you are there's always someone smaller at the bottom of the food chain
