LAT: Kojas upīte sākas netālu no bijušā kolhoza "Kurzeme" darbnīcām. Šie bijuši no kāda tālāka novada atbraukuši.

ENG: Koja River originates not far from the former collective farm ‘Kurzeme’. Legend tells that once the Koja River was much larger than now and it was crossed by a bridge. Once people were going home from Aizpute market, with them also some old man with his wife, both quite drunk. When they crossed the bridge over Koja River, the old lady cried out ‘Leg in a wheel’ (in Latvian - rata koja) as her leg was stuck in the wheel. The old man not noticing accident with his wife’s leg thought that she is singing and also shout out loud ‘Leg in a wheel, leg in a wheel, leg in a wheel!’ Other people hearing this uproar named the river Koja.
