Come Celebrate Earth Day in Gardner:

Since the first Earth Day in 1970, people around the world have sought to celebrate the planet through a variety of community events. This Earth Day event is not only about renewing your commitment to saving our living planet, but it's also about observing the beauty and vitality of nature. This event is appropriate for all ages and abilities.

10:30 am - 1 pm

The Gardner Greenway Corridor - Gardner, KS

• This is a rain or shine event; come prepared to work outdoors primarily picking up trash in and around Winwood park.

• We'll start gathering at 10:30am next to the "Gardner Greenway" sign just to the East of the parking lot. This will give us some time to fellowship and grab a group photo at 10:45am before we get to work.

• If this is one of your first events but you have some apprehension, feel free to email me and I will be happy to introduce you around.

• Bring your water bottle, work gloves, bug spary and sunscreen (be prepared).

• See a tree planting demonstration and enjoy a free barbeque lunch.

• After lunch, stick around for a drawing for free trees, t-shirts and lots of other cool prizes!

• Post your "Will Attend" log and tell me how many from your caching team will be in attendance.

• I MUST HAVE YOUR COMMITMENT AND HEADCOUNT NO LATER THAN APRIL 19th. This information will be used to make sure enough food is provided for all attendees.
