O miejscu:
Budynek przystani na pierwszy rzut oka nie sprawia budowli z jakąś ciekawą historią. I to zwodzi wiele osób. Samo położenie na cyplu nadaje jej malowniczy charakter. Warto dotrzeć do tej budowli w trakcie zachodu słońca i zobaczyć jak pięknie wygląda. Historia samej budowli mającej już ponad sto lat jest intrygująca i nie dotyczy tylko i wyłącznie sportów wodnych. Zbudowano ją przy basenie portu Richarda Schulza, właściciela pobliskiego tartaku. Schulz sam zresztą korzystał z tej przystani. Posiadał bowiem, wykonaną ponoć z machoniu łódź motorową. Pływał nią do Gdańska przywożąc do Grudziądza, przemycane cygara kubańskie. Ciekawe, że niby wszyscy o tym wiedzieli ale łódź nigdy nie została pod tym kątem skontrolowana. Otwarcie natomiast samej przystani nastąpiło 30.05.1908 roku. Wewnątrz budynku jest sala na spotkania i uroczystości. Oczywiście znajdują się także szatnie oraz hangar na łodzie.
Przystań pełniła funkcję centrum wioślarskiego aż do wybuchu I wojny światowej. Zmienił się w tym czasie jej charakter. Zakwaterowano bowiem w niej żołnierzy pełniących służbę wartowniczą na mostach przez Wisłę. Na szczęście przetrwała wojnę i przez całe dwudziestolecie nadal pełniła swą funkcję centrum wioślarskiego dla miasta i okolic. W czasie II wojny światowej ponownie zakwaterowano na jej terenie żołnierzy niemieckich i tu zaczyna się bardzo tajemniczy moment w jej historii. Żołnierze Ci byli marynarzami, którzy zabezpieczali barki płynące z fabryk grudziądzkich do Gdańska. Co te barki przewoziły? No i tu jest tajemnica – według tajemniczych wieści, miały to być części do torped i pocisków V2. Ile w tym prawdy? Nikt w tej chwili nie jest w stanie zweryfikować. Budynek lekko uszkodzony przetrwał ciężkie oblężenie miasta i po remoncie już w 1945 roku, zawitali do niego pierwsi powojenni wioślarze. I tak jest do dnia dzisiejszego.

About the place:
At first sight the harbour building does not seem to be a building with an interesting story. It can deceive a lot of people. The location on a headland makes the place picturesque. This building is worth seeing during the sunset. The story of a hundred-year building is really intriguing and it is not just about water sports. It was built next to Richard Schulz’s basin, the owner of a nearby sawmill. Schulz took advantage of the harbour because he was said to have a mahogany speedboat. It was rumoured that he sailed by this boat to Gdańsk and transported smuggled Cuban cigars. Interestingly, everyone knew about it but the boat was never checked with regard to it. The harbour was opened 30 May 1908. Inside the building there is a room for meetings and celebrations. Obviously, there are cloakrooms and a hangar for the boats.
The harbour played the role of the rowing centre until the outbreak of the First World War. But its character changed at the time. There had been quartered the soldiers who kept guard of the Vistula river bridges. Fortunately, the harbour survived throughout the war and for 20 years it functioned as a rowing centre for the town and surroundings. During the Second World War some German soldiers were quartered there and it was the beginning of a very mysterious time in its history. The soldiers were sailors who protected barges sailing from Grudziądz factories to Gdańsk. What did the barges transport? It is a mystery - according to the secret rumours - they were the parts for torpedoes and V2 missiles. Who knows how far from the truth it is? Nobody is able to verify it. The building, slightly damaged, survived a hard siege of the town and after the renovation just in 1945 it was reopened for the first post-war rowers. It has existed until today.

Das Gebäude der Anlegestelle verleiht auf den ersten Blick kein Eindruck einer Bebauung mit einer interessanten Geschichte. Das täuscht aber viele Menschen. Allein die Lage auf der Landzunge verleiht dem Komplex einen malerischen Charakter. Man sollte bei Sonnenuntergang das Gebäude besichtigen, um zu sehen, wie schön es aussieht. Die Geschichte des Gebäudes, das über 100 Jahre alt ist, ist fasziniert und besteht nicht nur aus den Wassersportarten. Es wurde am Hafenbecken Richard Schulz, Inhaber des nahegelegenen Sägewerks gebaut. Schulz selbst hat davon auch profitiert. Er besaß nämlich ein angeblich aus Mahagoni gefertigtes Motorboot, mit dem er nach Danzig fuhr, um von dort geschmuggelte kubaniche Zigarren nach Graudenz zu holen. Interresanterweise sollten alle davon gewusst haben, jedoch das Boot wurde nie auf die Ladung kontrolliert.
Die Eröffnung des Yachthafens erfolgte am 30.05.1908. Im Inneren des Gebäudes befindet sich ein Raum für Tagungen und verschiedene Feier. Es befinden sich dort allerdings auch Umkleideräume und ein Hangar für Boote. Der Hafen diente als Zentrum des Rudersports bis zum Ausbruch des ersten Weltkrieges. In dieser Zeit hat sich auch Funktion des Hafens verändert. In dem Komplex wurden Die Soldaten für die Bewachung von Brücken über Weichsel stationiert. Der Hafen hat glücklicherweise die Strapazzen des Krieges überstanden und diente über zwei Jahrzehnte weiterhin dem Rudersport für die Stadt und ihre Umgebung. Während des zweiten Weltkrieges wurden dort die deutschen Soldaten stationiert und von diesem Moment an beginnt die geheimnisvolle Geschichte des Hafens. Diese Marinesoldaten waren beauftragt, die Kahnen zu bewachen, die Waren von den Fabriken in Graudenz nach Danzig transportierten. Was waren das für Waren? Sollte man den geheimnisvollen Gerüchten glauben, waren es Bauteile von Torpedos und V2-Raketen. Wieviel Wahrheit steckte in den Gerüchten? Heutzutage kann Niemand mehr diese Gerüchte verifizieren. Das Gebäude überstand die Belagerung der Stadt leicht beschädigt und wurde schon im Jahr 1945 renoviert und den Nachkriegs-Ruderern zur Verfügung gestellt. So ist es bis zum heutigen Tag geblieben.
