Kesz nie pokazuje ciekawego miejsca. Jest jedynie pretekstem do opowiedzenia smutnej historii.
W Pruszkowie wykonano w czasie okupacji około 50 wyroków na konfidentach. Na ulicy Kraszewskiego miał miejsce jeden z najgłośniejszych – dokonany na gorliwym folksdojczu i granatowym policjancie Mereniaku. W nocy z 23 na 24 maja 1943r. warszawskie gestapo aresztowało w Pruszkowie ponad 70 osób, w większości należących do AK. W czasie śledztwa nie wydali nikogo z dowództwa VI Rejonu, zostali rozstrzelani w ruinach getta warszawskiego.
Dzięki grypsom i uzyskanym informacjom ustalono, że gestapo korzystało w tej akcji z kilku informatorów. W niedługim czasie zlikwidowano dwóch agentów. Jednym z nich był Ewald Wilibald Mareniak vel Maryniak. Mieszkał w dzielnicy niemieckiej, przy ul. Kraszewskiego 21. Sąd Polski Podziemnej wydał na niego wyrok w maju 1943 roku. Został zastrzelony 1 czerwca, gdy na rowerze przejeżdżał obok domu numer 42. Codziennie tą drogą udawał się do komisariatu policji przy ul. Klonowej (dziś Daszyńskiego), gdzie pracował.
Wśród innych wyroków było zastrzelenie policjanta Lasky’ego w jego mieszkaniu na ul. Stalowej oraz kontrowersyjna akcja w rodzinie Gwarów. Wydano wyrok na kobietę przesiedloną z Wielkopolski, ale zabito również jej 11 letnią córkę Basię Gwarę. Egzekutor tłumaczył swoje działanie tym, że dziecko go rozpoznało i nie mógł ryzykować!

Around 50 executions of informers during the occupation were carried out in Pruszkow. The Kraszewski Street witnessed one of the most infamous executions - the victims was a very zealous Volksdeutsch and Mr Mareniak, a member of the Blue Police. During the night of 23rd and 24th of May 1943, the Gestapo in Warsaw arrested more than 70 people in Pruszkow, most of them members of the Home Army (the so called AK). Not a single one among the arrested betrayed the commanders of the VI Region. All of those captured were executed in the ruins of the Warsaw ghetto.
Thanks to secret messages it was soon revealed that Gestapo was aided by some informants in their operation. Two agents were killed soon afterwards. One of them was Ewald Wilibald Mareniak vel Maryniak. He lived in the German district, on the 21 Kraszewski Street. The verdict was issued by the court of the Polish Undergound State in May 1943. Mareniak was executed on the 1st of June, when he was passing on his bicycle in front of the neighbouring 42 house. This used to be his everyday trip to the police station located on the Klonowa Street (currently Daszynski Street) where he worked.
Other executions included the shooting of the policeman Lasky in his apartment on Stalowa Street as well as the controversial killing of the Gwary family. A woman relocated from the north west of Poland was executed, but her 11 year old daughter Basia Gwara was killed as well. The executor explained that he had to kill the daughter, because she recognised him, so he could not take risk!
