In America March 14th is written 3/14. Since this year is 2015, this becomes 3/14/15 which just happens to be the first 5 digits of Pi. Groundspeak have announced that two souvenirs will be awarded to commemorate Pi Day, one for attending an event and one for finding a mystery cache on this day.
The event will start at 09:00 and finish at 10:00. Since the first 10 digits of Pi are 3.141592653 we will be having a group photograph as close to 9:26:53 as we can manage.
There are free electric barbecues available, a cafe across the road and a fish and chip shop just across the bridge.
