A simple drive-inn at the port of beautiful Eskifjörður
Eskifjörður (in original Icelandic spelling), or also Eskifjördur, is a town and port in eastern Iceland with a large fishing industry. It has a population of 1,043 and constitutes one of the most populated villages part of the municipality of Fjarðabyggð.
A sculpture by Ragnar Kjartansson is located along the main road in Eskifjördur, commemorating the mariners who drowned at sea.
Eskifjörður has one of the most beautiful rare stone collections in Iceland, with thousands of polished, cut and original stones from all over the island, privately owned but visitable.
The cache container is small or maybe regular sized and there´s a smaller box inside which contains the logbook. In the container itself there´s some space for smaller items or trackables.
It´s situated in the stone wall near to the left side of the raft Thanks to Magirus who has replaced the cache, so feel free to log further on
