Pazinski kaštel slovi za najveću i najbolje sačuvanu utvrdu u Istri. Prvi se put spominje u pisanim dokumentima 983. godine. S vremenom je izrastao u moćnu utvrdu koju su gradili i dorađivali različiti vlasnici tijekom cijelog srednjeg i novog vijeka. Podno njegovih zidina nalazi se grotlo Pazinske jame. U svojem romanu Mathias Sandorf, Jules Verne opisuje Pazinsku jamu i pazinski Kaštel.
Danas se u Kaštelu nalazi Etnografski muzej Istre.

Pazin castle is famous for being the largest and best preserved fort in Istria. It was first mentioned in written documents in the year 983. Over time it has grown into a mighty fortress that was built and refined by various owners throughout the Medieval and modern times. At the foot of its walls is a Pazin cave. In his novel Mathias Sandorf, Jules Verne describes the Cave of Pazin and Pazin Castle.
Today it houses the Ethnographic Museum of Istria.
