This geocache is located in the Reuven Hecht Square. Reuven Hecht was an Israeli Industrialist, Born in Antwerp, Belgium. Reuven founded the Dagon Storage silo after winning an exclusive concession to building one, founded the Hecht Museum, and was even a principal aide to Prime Minister Menachem begin at the Camp David peace talks and attended other meetings with important personnel such as Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher. He was awarded the Israel Prize for Exemplary Lifetime Service to the Society and State in 1984 (well deserved), and I myself have barely heard of anything he did and have never known how much he contributed to Haifa and our society as a whole. I've only ever heard his name mentioned in multiple places but never really looked or researched into him, but I'm really glad i did. Hope you enjoy the cache!
