Teren gminy Radzymin jest bardzo interesujący z uwagi na swoją przeszłość archeologiczną - zarejestrowano tu ponad 300 stanowisk archeologicznych. Znaleziska reprezentują osadnictwo począwszy od starszej epoki kamienia – tj. około 9000 lat p.n.e. po okres średniowieczny i nowożytny XV – XVII wiek.
Zdecydowanie najwyższą wartość na terenie posiada zespół 21 kopców ziemnych we wsi Arciechów – jest to jedyny na terenie gminy obiekt o własnej formie krajobrazowej, wpisany do rejestru zabytków pod Nr A-1617 dnia 4.04.1996 roku. Cmentarzysko datowane jest na I-IV w n.e., czyli epokę żelaza. Położone na niedużej wydmie otoczonej ze 3 stron mokradłami, jest obecnie ostoją zwierzyny.
Uważny czytelnik pewnie skojarzy sobie, że coś o kurhanach już słyszał - o tych na Podlasiu i o tych na Pomorzu. I tutaj jest pewna zbieżność, bo sądząc z chronologii to mamy tu kurhany kultury wielbarskiej (inaczej gocko-gepidzka oraz wschodniopomorsko-mazowiecka). Czyli okres wpływów rzymskich.
Ze względu na atrakcyjność i walory poznawcze obiektu w licznych opracowaniach wskazuje się, po dokonaniu odpowiednich badań i zabezpieczeń, udostępnienie go zwiedzającym... I tak mijają lata.
