It is planned to hold this event at the waters edge on the shores of the Dead Sea, making it the lowest point of land on Earth. Specifically, the event will be on the beach of the Hilton Dead Sea Resort
This will be the last full day of our trip from Cape Town to Jordan and we would like to celebrate it with anyone able to attend. We would like to swap trackables, if anyone has some that want to travel to Australia. We will have small Australian souvenirs and our pathtags to give away.
We will meet between 8:45 and 9:00 am in the Vue Cafe at the Hilton Dead Sea resort and will make our way to the beach at 09:00. We will gather on the beach at the water's edge for half an hour or so and the event will finish when everyone has had enough.
The stated coordinates are my best guess at the water's edge. If a local can give me more accurate coordinates I will update them. If not, I arrive at the hotel the day before and will update the coordinates as soon as possible after arrival.
In the Vue cafe we will be recognisable by the Australian hat and our GPS on the table.
On the beach we will be wearing the hat!.
