PL: Seria skrytek przybliżająca turystom informacje dot. okolicy Kocierza.
Od 20 lat obserwuje się w Beskidach rozpad drzewostanów świerkowych (przyspieszony proces usychania świerków), co jest spowodowane m.in. zmianami klimatycznymi (wzrostem temperatury powietrza, zmniejszeniem się ilości opadów atmosferycznych, częstszymi huraganowymi wiatrami). Proces ten przyspieszył w ostatnich pięciu latach. Usychają drzewa, których wiek przekroczył 60 lat.
Świerk to gatunek dający dużo cennego surowca drzewnego, do wzrostu potrzebuje wilgoci i chłodu szczególnie w okresie wegetacyjnym. Ma płytki system korzeniowy, przez co jest często przewracany przez wiatr. Poza tym jest nieodporny na emitowane do atmosfery pyły i gazy, a jego naturalnymi wrogami są korniki i grzyby: huba korzeniowa i opieńki.
W miejscu ukrycia pojemnika możemy zobaczyć potężne okazy tych drzew.
W środku pojemnika tylko logbook.

The collapse of spruce stands has been observed in the Beskids for 20 years (accelerated process of drying of spruces), which is caused, among others, by climate change (increase in air temperature, decrease in precipitation, more frequent hurricane winds). This process has accelerated in the last five years. Trees that are older than 60 years are dying out.
Spruce is a species that gives a lot of valuable wood material, it needs moisture and cold to grow, especially during the growing season. It has a shallow root system, which is often turned over by the wind. In addition, it is not resistant to dust and gases emitted to the atmosphere, and its natural enemies are bark beetles and fungi: root hub and stumps.
