Geocache Description:

This route takes you along the route of the Peckham arm of the former Grand Surrey canal, along what is now the Surrey Linear Canal Path.   Our route finishes at the junction of the Peckham arm with the main line of the canal towards Camberwell.  You can still see the line of the canal wall, and the retaining wall at Glengall Wharf, which used to be where rubbish was loaded onto barges to be taken away.  The area of the wharf is now a community garden, who have kindly granted permission for this hide.  You do not need to enter the garden to find the cache, and it's not possible to cut through the garden.  Please don't over-tighten cache when replacing it.

The route is about 1km long as the crow flies, and both ends are close to public transport.  The path is tarmaced throughout, but as the distance is over half a mile I've given the terrain rating appropriate for the distance.  The path is now part of the cycle route C35, so be aware that it's a busy route.

The cache can be found at N51 28.ABC W000 04.DEF
