The Asheville Urban Trail is one of Asheville's treasures that runs throughout downtown featuring monuments, markers, and history. Easily an enjoyable way to spend a few hours and there are other caches around to do at the same time.
The city website with information on the Urban Trail is www.exploreasheville.com/urban-trail
You can find a printable pdf version of the map at res.cloudinary.com/simpleview/image/upload/v1/clients/asheville/AshevilleUrbanTrail_82afe60f-46dc-42f4-8f27-be4ff4af78da.pdf
Follow the Period "The Times of Thomas Wolfe" and #21 is the one you seek. There is a generator hooked up so when you turn it (which you can do; go on, you know you want to!) it plays sounds from everything on its face. However, to prove you were here answer these two questions.
1) What is the person's name this marker is in memory to?
2) What are the 3 creatures pictured on the back?
To send me your answers Message Center is preferred, but email will work, too, or just send from the App.
I am an active cacher and monitor all answers. Please send your answers within 7 days of your find log. If you do not send your answers in 7 days or if your answers are not correct, I will ask you change your log to a note or a DNF. If you do not, then I will delete your log. As with all Virtuals DO NOT POST ANSWERS IN YOUR LOG.
NOTE: If the answers you come up with are "Col. John Kerr Connally or Zebulon Vance and the creatures are horse, turkey, pig, and human," then you are NOT CORRECT!
The Urban Trail starts here and you must walk a few blocks to find the right monument. Enjoy the trail and the sounds!
