Around 11:35 this morning I was driving down highway 151 just east of Fond du Lac. I pulled over to the side of the road to check on the bikes in their rack. I looked up and just happened to see something streaking across the sky and coming to rest above the water. It seemed to be a small spot of silvery white, made no noise at all, and really had no discernable shape other than spherical. I could not explain what I was seeing, I thought of all the possibilities it could be. It stayed above me for about 2 minutes remaining totally motionless. I stood staring in utter disbelief at the sky when the object suddenly streaked away. I tried to call my wife (exactly 11:37 according to my cell phone log) but only got her voicemail. I searched the sky for any other activity for about 10 minutes before getting back into my car seriously questioning what I had seen. If I can be of any more help please let me know. Your request for information on tracked objects on the given day, time frame, and location turned up a positive. At approximately 11:30 AM an unidentified object was observed entering the requested airspace traveling in an easterly direction. The object stopped and hovered for a period of 1-3 minutes directly above N 43º49.006 W 88º25.449. The object then changed course and traveled in a south/easterly direction along the bearing line of 115º. The object was tracked at a speed 37840 feet per second for 3 seconds before disappearing from the screen. The official explanation for this occurrence is operator error as no further anomalies were witnessed within the given time frame.

On 8/15/03 I was in Lakeside Park taking pictures with my new digital camera. Later that evening I was going through the pics when my daughter asked me what the dark spot was that appeared in my picture of the lighthouse. We both thought that it looked a lot like a saucer shaped object. I was going to delete the picture but my daughter convinced me to send it in.

“The party observed a bright streak of light and a extremely loud whistling noise followed by what sounded like an explosion. No fire or smoke was seen. The woods were inspected but no sign of fire or fire spread was seen. Alarm time 11:40 AM”

Due to the differences in long distance projection you must use the Great Circle Calculator by Ed Williams to figure the distance from a known point.
