Nomex: Hi
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, [RED]and assuming it still meets the guidelines[/RED], we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Don't hesitate to email me via the link on my Profile if you have any questions. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GC Code, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

A slice of nature in San Francisco's most industrial neighborhood

Welcome to Heron's Head Park. This little spit of land North of Hunters Point is landfill originally intended to be the foundation of Pier 98, perhaps even the West side of a second Bay Bridge. Instead, bay waves lap its shores and a marsh has taken hold on its Southern side. Walk to the end, have a seat. Consider that the nature around you, while threatened, is tenacious rather than fragile, and ultimately triumphant. Look for birds, harbor seals, runners, the old PG&E plant, and occasional, but harmless, homeless folk. Recently, a new sign was posted:

I have adopted this cache from Walruz. It is now a small container, previously holding cat treats. Bring a pen/pencil. Initial contents: Marine Mammal Center Bookmark, sea lion key chain, hand wipe, small log

The cache has been moved away from muggle magnets. It's not at the tip, but nearby.
