Kardamyli Old Town lies just off to the east of the north south road that runs through the western edge of the Mani. It is currently undergoing renovation but this seem to be taking a long time. This used to be the lair of the Troupakis family, rivals of the Movromichalis clan. The Mani has a history of internal feuding.
