Geocache Description:

The cache is located on the north edge of the TOP of a small plateau know as Dean Reid Knob in the Ozark National Forest. The container is a decon container with a smaller (also water tight) container inside it.

This cache is not for the weak of heart or short on intestinal fortitude. Some of the walking is up steep slopes with a small amount of climbing. You have a clear view in all directions once you make it so take your camera if its a clear day. Post your pics please.

Basic directions to the starting point is as follows. From Harkey Valley Road [Old County Road 39-paved to within 2 miles of FR 1639 if you come in from S.R. 27] turn North onto FR 1639 and then NE onto FR1611 to take you to parking spot [deer camp] at N35 12.900; W093 21.660. This is where the fun begins. About 99% of your steps to the cache will be uphill from here. You can see your challenge from the parking spot. Proceed up the obvious trail toward the cache-it runs out at the top of the first steep climb. Continue on in the same general direction or the location of the start of the easiest way up to the top is at N35 13.180; W093 21.815.

As far as the Combo part of the name, if you choose to do this as a night cache there are white reflectors {40 or so} to guide you to the top. They are sparse near the parking area {look for 2 to guide you at the very beginning} but are closer together as you go up. Follow the trail marked all the way to the top. If you lose the markers, your GPSr will get you back on track by following it to the cache. The reflectors will only get you to the top, you have to use the GPSr and clue to locate the cache. Once on top, go to the North East promontory. The cache is just west of that location. Use the spoiler pics to help you locate it.

Please include any game or muggle info from your travels here.

This cache is listed by Red Ink's Cache 22 Challenge, GC1TTQ3. One down, 21 to go. I have one found 3 of the 21.
