The Silverado Golf and Country Club of Napa, California has an indirect connection to us. Our team is named Silverado (Ag ... chemical symbol for silver). Hole #1 of the Silverado South GC in Napa is a 360 yd. par 4 ... so is hole #1 of this Geo-golf course.
The listed coordinates are for the first tee. You will find yourself on the north side of Wolf Store Rd. in Temecula. Along the south side of Wolf Store Rd. are hundreds of metal fence posts topped by metal caps. The cache container is a magnetic 35mm film container stuck to the underside of one of those caps.
Your goal is to find the correct cap with the fewest attempts (just like real golf!). From the tee find the post which is closest to .20 miles (360 yards) and 242° true(roughly SW)from the tee.
The cap with the cache is loose. Keep track of how many pulls it takes to find the cache. Be careful not to dislodge the magnetic container when lifting or replacing. Cache contains log/scorecard only. Bring a pen. Enter your score on the card and report it when you log in. We're interested in your comments on this concept. Good luck!
After a fall down the pipe, I've recovered and improved the container attachment. I also wrote on the underside of the cap so that you can identify the location even if the container takes another tumble.
