GeoBun and WildHare: We have put messages on the cache location to others over and over and this still gets taken. We have personally written to others as well and the cache still gets thrown on the ground and left in the open. This cache location was moved 4 times in the lifetime of the cache because unfortunately the landscape was changed or a building was taken down or the original container where the cache was --- was removed by the city.
There are many destructive people doing terrible things to our caches and to other caches that belong to others all over the world. The game is no longer fun with so many people living in areas we used to have caches and people who just decide to trash the areas and use them as a toilet. Or decide to steal your items..
When you send us messages to tend to our caches we always get back to you. We always tend to our caches and have for over 13 years. But you have no sympathy to those that have caches. It is either do something that day or the cache is archived. You have people who take care of these emails that don't even live in Oregon or in our area. You have no idea what the cache areas look like or the situation of the cache location.
We are going to archive this cache in this location and we are thinking seriously about what we want to do with the future of the hobby in our family. It's all big business now and not the hobby it started out to be.
