From Highway 101, just west of Klahoya Campground, turn onto W. Snider Road and proceed toward the Snider Work Center.
Drive through the Forest Service work center following the signs to North Point L.O. on FS Road #3040. While the gravel road is well maintained, a safe vehicle with reasonably high clearance and good brakes is recommended. The trip up usually takes about 20 minutes.
Follow 3040 to the top and turn right at the sign that says "North Point L.O. – 2 miles." In the off-season, the gate at this point is sometimes closed. Park at the Kloshe Nanitch Observation Site (former lookout) parking area. Proceed to WP 1 from there.
There are some areas along this route where you may find poor GPS reception. You should, however, have plenty of clear areas for adequate reception to find all of the waypoints. But given the reception quality, we’ll throw in a little more general information than would normally be provided. The route stays on the trails. There is no reason to take more than a few steps off the trail to find any of the waypoints. You specifically DO NOT have to go cross country nor should anyone feel compelled to go near any cliffs or dangerous-looking rock outcroppings to accomplish this multicache. Be prepared for about a 3+ mile roundtrip hike.
The final waypoint has a nice area for a break with views overlooking the valley. The cache itself is a large ammo box.
This is one of our favorite places and is largely unknown except to locals. Please help us keep it litter and vandalism free.
