Geocache Description:

This cache involves a multi-step process to acquire the coordinates of the cache.

To find the final cache location for this, you will need to follow a series of steps. Note: THE COORDINATES LISTED ABOVE WILL NOT LEAD YOU TO THE CACHE. I HAD TO PUT SOMETHING IN THERE, SO I JUST ENTERED IN MY HOME COORDINATES.

  1. Answer this series of questions. Some may be really easy, others may require some research. All the answers should be numbers.

Q1.        Number of sides on a pentagon.
    Q2.        [Answer for #3] multipled by 2.
Q3.        Number of Muses in Greek Mythology.
Q4.        How many in a trinity?
Q5.        Number of years in a decade.
Q6.        Half of the legs on a spider.
Q7.        The number in the alternate name for the Pleiades star cluster.
Q8.        Number of holes in a bowling ball + 2/3 of the holes in a bowling ball.
Q9.        Number of colored balls in standard game of billiards, excluding the cue ball.
Q10.      Number of stripes on an American flag.
    Q11.      3/4 of a dozen.
    Q12.      The _ _ _ _ _ Stooges.
    Q13.      [Answer for #11] multiplied by 2.
    Q14.      3/4 of [Answer for #18]
    Q15.      [Answer for #3] + [Answer for #5]
Q16.      Number of minutes in 1/4 of an hour.
    Q17.      _ _ _ Flags Theme Parks.
    Q18.      Square root of 400.

  2. Take the numbers you got, and convert them to letters using the following table:

    Number Letter Number Letter
    1 A 14 N
    2 B 15 O
    3 C 16 P
    4 D 17 Q
    5 E 18 R
    6 F 19 S
    7 G 20 T
    8 H 21 U
    9 I 22 V
    10 J 23 W
    11 K 24 X
    12 L 25 Y
    13 M 26 Z

  3. Insert the letters into the following forms:

    Form #1-    http://s14.invisionfree.com/[Letter you get from Q1][Q2][Q3 ][Q4][Q5][ Q6][Q7][Q8 ][Q9]

    Form #2-    [Letter you get from Q10][Q11][Q12 ][Q13][Q14][ Q15][Q16][Q17 ][Q18]

  4. Type what you got for Form #1 into your browser's address bar. You should come upon a white and blue message board page. Use the Log In button at the top right of the page, and use the following:
    Username: Geocache
    Password: geocaching

  5. Click on the word "Geocaches" next to the light blue image of a padlock. It looks like this:

  6. It will ask you for a password to access the page, the password is what you got in Form #2.

  7. Click on "Puzzle Time!" underneath "Important Topics". This will give you Lat/Lon coordinates.

  8. Add up all the numbers you got for answers of questions 1-9.

  9. Divide this number by 1000

  10. Subtract that number from the Latitude coordinate listed in the topic you just got to. This should give you the correct latitude coordinate to find the final cache by. For example; if the coordinate listed is 42.123456 and you get .123 after step 9, subtract .123 from 42.123456 and get 42.000456.

  11. Add up all the numbers you got for answers of questions 10-18.

  12. Divide this number by 1000

  13. Subtract that number from the Longitude coordinate listed in the topic you got to. This should give you the correct longitude coordinate to find the final cache by.

  14. You know what to do now, put the coordinates into your GPS. Happy hunting!

P.S. This is my first (technically second) cache. There may be errors in the above instructions, so please do not hesitate to contact me if something goes wrong!
