Geocache Description:

Along a nice trail system

You are looking for a small plastic container. The container will hold smaller trade items and travel bugs. To start the cache out right we have included a couple of travel bugs.

The other day I ran into a friend of mine, Stumpy. Now, Stumpy is not his real name but, Duck in not really mine. He got the nickname because of his height, or at least that is what he says. Stumpy is kind of short and bald. Maybe that is why we are such good friends.

Stumpy and I get together every now and then to solve the world's problems. We figure some things might get solved if we could get anyone to listen to us anyway. We headed to Piper's Drive In for lunch. We figured since ODOT was going to put the place out of business, we had better have one last Piper Special before they were gone forever.

After getting our order we found a table and sat down to discuss the new road construction. To my suprise, when Stumpy removed his hat he had on a toupee. This thing looked like he had picked up a road killed skunk and made a wig out of what was left. Now, Stumpy is not a vain man so this kind of surprised me. I had to ask why.

Stumpy said he had just gotten back from a trip. While on the trip he had been mugged and all of his money was stolen. He was determined for this not to happen again. He made sure nobody was looking and removed the toupee. On the under side was a hidden pocket where he kept all of his cash. I told him that it might have been a good hiding place but why was that thing so ugly. He just smiled and said that a mugger might take all your cash and some have even been known to steal your cloths. He said who do you think is gonna take this thing. I had to admit he did have a point. Keeping your cash under that awful looking thing might just keep it safe.

Today I went to check on a couple of my caches that had been stolen. I decided to hide this cache in honor of my friend and his unusal way of keeping his cash safe.
