Tato cache vas zavede na jedno z mist, ktere je hodne castym cilem vyletu lidicek z blizkeho i dalekeho okoli. Pote, co stromy shodi listy, je silueta zriceniny patrna hlavne ze smeru od Karlovych Varu. Ale jelikoz je tento kopec na levem brehu reky Ohre velmi dominantni, nejde prehlednout v podstate odkudkoliv.
Nejlepsi pristup je po zlute turisticke znacce. Ve smeru od silnice c. 13 budete muset projit pres byvaly popluzni dvur Sumburk, ktery take stoji za prohlidku. Pak uz budete jen stoupat. Po zlute znacce se da prijit take ve smeru od reky, bud z Klasterce nad Ohri nebo z Perstejna.
Trocha historie: Zakladatelem hradu s puvodnim jmenem Novy Sumburk je Vilem ze Sumburka. Hrad byl dokonceny nekdy ve 30 letech 15. stoleti. Prvni pisemna zminka o nem se objevuje v r. 1435. Byl pojmenovan podle puvodniho rodoveho sidla v dnesnim Nemecku. V r. 1449 se hrad stal majetkem Vilema z Illburka. Zanedlouho ho ale ziskali Fictumove. Ti pak na pocatku 16.stoleti zacali s rozsahlou prestavbou nepohodlneho a nevyhovujiciho hradu. Kolem r. 1550 hrad temer cely vyhorel. Jako sve sidlo ho majitele panstvi zrejme uz nikdy neobnovili. Od 17.stoleti je hrad pusty.
Trocha popisu: Sumburk byl slechticky hrad a ve sve prvni fazi predstavoval hrad donjonoveho typu. Obranna slozka byla posilena na ukor bydleni hlavne diky rozvoji delostrelectva za husitskych valek. Vyplyva to z vystavby, charakteru a umisteni stavby na izolovanem vrchu. Teprve Fictumove se zacali orientovat vice na obytnou funkci hradu a k donjonu pripojili tri nove pristavky a nechali postavit novy trojprostorovy palac.
Co jeste dodat? Najdou se tu zbytky hradeb, bran, bast, obytne veze, novejsiho palace, obytnych budov. Ale take prikopy a valy. K majitelum patrili napr. Vilem ze Sumburka, Vilem z Illburka, Krystof Fictum z Fictumu a jini. Nahore se da udelat pekny ohynek, dreva je v okoli hradu dostatek. Pri hledani cache budte opatrni. V okoli hradu stale je dost kmenu stromu, ktere byly pokaceny kvuli vyhlidce z hradu. Ze zriceniny je nyni krasny vyhled do okoli.
Tato cache je jedna z mych prvnich dvou, ktere jsem zalozila. Uvitam proto komentare, predevsim ohledne zamereni a vubec celkove urovne cache. Dekuju.

This cache is placed close to the ruins of castle Schoenburg. The ruins are on the top of the dominat hill of the same name. The silhouette of the ruins are perfectly visible expecially during autumn and winter time through bald trees. This place is visited by many mugles most of the time.
How to get there? Use the yellow tourist mark path. From the direction of route No.13 you will go through the former farm called Sumburk which is also worth to see. You can also come from the direction of Klasterec nad Ohri or Perstejn using yellow tourist mark path too.
History of the castle: The castle was found by William of Schoenburg as New Schoenburg. It was finished in the thirties of 15th century. The first reference to the castle was written in 1435 AD. The name of the castle refers to the original residence of Schoenburgs in Germany. William of Illburg bought the castle in 1449 AD. Soon the Fictums bought the castle and started with renovation because the castle did not suit to their requests. About 1550 AD the castle nearly burnt to the ground. Its owner propably never rebuilt it and from the 17th century was the castle deserted.
Some information about the place: You can find there the ruins of walls, towers, donjon ets. Ditches and ramparts are visible till these days. The owner of the castle was William of Schoenburg, William of Illburg, Christopher Fictum and others. Very interesting is the rock as the basement of the castle. There is nice view-out from the top of the hill.
