Geocache Description:

The premier High Plain Drifters cache...a collaborative project by Betty Bum and FlatbrokeJoe.

Wagon Landing Springs, ...a little known enchanted hideaway! 66.5 acres of State owned, forested upland, brush, grassland and creek bottom wilderness. Provides trout fishing, birdwatching, and berry picking. Plenty of deer, rabbits ruffed grouse and various other furry critters call this area home. Geodoggies have endless trail options.

Legend tells of wagons loaded with gold from a local vein moved through this area to access the springs; oftentimes tossing a small nugget or two near the well head for good luck on the journey!

There is more than one place to park along this road. The cache is located less than 400 ft. from the road.
Please take appropriate precautions while caching on/near public hunting grounds.

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Paul Heimstead and Christopher J. Rucinski of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resouce managed lands require permission by means of a notification form.
