About This Item

I found the three United States A.P.E. caches in a 3-month period in 2005. I wonder if anyone else has found that many as quickly? I'm kinda just curious, ya know? (I wasn't even chasing after these Missions, either. My travel schedule JUST coincided with those locations. Pretty cool, if you ask me.)

The earliest page of this travel bug's logs contain the text from my three A.P.E. logs.

The only other one available right now is in Brazil. mtn-man found a fourth one in the U.S. back in, like .... oh, 1891 or something.

What the Heck is Project A.P.E.? Look here.

Yay, MissJenn was nice enough to let me discover this coin. Hmm, maybe I should tell her I discovered it sometime!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to finding an APE cache here pretty soon.

  • "MissJenn Went A.P.E." & "Spoon!'s Simian Specie" Both coins wanted to head up to Mission 9, and so both coin owners were very happy to oblige.
  • eastern entrance into the Tunnel of Light Rain turned into wet snow which then turned into sleet which turned into 3" to 4" inches of accumulated snow by the time our Mission was accomplished.
  • one of many items inside the Tunnel of *Light* What was it's original purpose? What's inside now? Dare I find out?
  • western entrance into the Tunnel of Light What a difference a few hours makes!
