Sixth stop of the day for AndrewRJ, Pyewacket and me on a DeLorme and County Challenges run along the North Cascade Highway. WDC Page 114 and Okanogan County (#3).

Quite the fire devastation up here...and on the drive up we were wondering which fire it was. Reading through the previous logs I see that it was indeed last year. Wow.

Got to the top and discovered that indeed, just as they had at Washington Pass, my lungs were not at all happy with the altitude...and this one was higher. Oh well, I'll live...unfortunately.

Pye was on a mission here and soon had the cache in hand. We signed the log, spent some time taking pictures and collecting samples and then headed back down the mountain. Really did leave the Red Jeep here, but apparently it didn't stay long as we were not the only visitors up here today. Thanks for leaving it in my inventory until I had the time to log and leave it here.

Fourth stop of the day for AndrewRJ, Pyewacket and me on a DeLorme and County Challenges run along the North Cascade Highway. WDC Page 113 and Okanogan County (#2).

Although .62 miles doesn't seem like a long way, it was today with the heat. At times I thought my eyeballs were sweating...but after a recent adventure, we all needed a walk to clear our heads and this fit the bill nicely.

Arrived at GZ to find lots of muggles, horse muggles, and a few bike riders...who it turned out weren't muggles but knew exactly what we were doing. And here we were trying to be stealthy for no reason.

Thought about leaving the Red Jeep here, but the cache was put away before I got it out...so it'll go a bit farther.
