Current Goal

Michiel de Ruyter was a Dutch sea-hero who travelled all over Europe. His contemporaries of the Dutch East India Company were staying at Dejima at the time, trading with the Japanese. Still this lust for travel is apparent in the present population of the Netherlands: it's a small country, but everywhere there is oxygen, you will meet the Dutch. This is the second time we visit Japan, to satisfy our own wanderlust. To commemorate the event, we release this coin. Please let it stay in Japan, but honor Michiel's sense of adventure by letting him travel all over the country! And of course it would be great if he could get to see Dejima!
