About This Item

Between February 7 and March 14 2009 bushfires swept through Victoria destroying over 5000 buildings and leaving over 7500 people homeless. 173 people were killed in the inferno which rates as the worst peacetime disaster in Australia's history.

This GeoCoin commemorates those lost and those who risked their lives to fight the flames.
