My son and I came out from California to visit Grampa for a week here in New England. This was the first mountain I'd ever tried to see how my son would do - he's only 6. Despite his half-hearted protests, I knew he could do it and he would thank me later. With a lot of encouragement and demonstrations of how easy it was to take just one more step - he made it all the way up and down again on his own steam. I didn't carry him at all. He's no longer aloud to say "I can't" because if he can climb this mountain he can do anything. He treasures this beautiful coin he found at the top. We'll be sure to find another mountain top to place it on. Thanks.
