Saikou's Travel Bug

Saikou would like to visit as many caches as possible. She is racing her brothers and sister who also have this as their goal (the kids all got Travel Bugs for Christmas). She doesn't want to stay long in any one place. As her letterboxing signature stamp says (in Japanese), "RUSH!" Please be sure to log any movement of the bug on the geocaching page, and don't hang on to her very long... She's restless.

Saikou, TDI, PD, DSA Honor Scout

Saikou (born Dec. 5, 1997) is a mixed breed (Alaskan Husky x Border Collie) who is living life to the fullest, and now she’d like to encourage all dog owners to get more involved with their dogs, too. Saikou (Japanese for “the best”) has learned a lot, but doesn’t have the titles to show for it. “Dogs Just Wanna Have Fun!” is her motto in life. Her nick-name is “Stinky Girl,” as she was rather “naughty” as a youngster. With persistence, and positive training methods, she has now proved to be quite dependable, and accompanies mom just about everywhere. Saikou really enjoys going geocaching and letterboxing. She has also learned Agility, Flyball, Water Rescue, Tracking, and Sled Dog Racing, with a few races under her belt. We mostly do all of this just for fun, now, since her older siblings are retiring from most of these rigorous activities. Saikou also does Therapy Dog work, but prefers activities that involve running at top speed! Her favorite things are exploring, hiking, backpacking and biking with her mom, so geocaching and letterboxing fit right in. As a Dog Scout, she has earned over 30 merit badges.
